Woman with Cymbals

This is the model of one of the two art pieces, realized during his French stay, when the thematic choices of the sculptor concentrate on the female nude, solved with rounded, solid and elegant forms, reflecting the most updated culture: from Rodin to Bourdelle and to Maillol, from Russian symbolism to Russian ballet choreographies. And these are the more significant Parisian presences in the art of Andreotti during those years. The elegant figure leans on a cushion-base adorned with leaves and fruit just like the "Nude Dancer".
