Little Mermaid with Putto on her Shoulders

This subject is associated with a series of figurines representing mermaids or women born from the sea, as for example the Birth of Venus. It could be that on the whole, the series was originally, a set of variants for the ‘Mermaid with pot on her head’ that Andreotti cast in two exemplars that were to be placed in the restaurant hall of the motorship Victory, which later sank during World War II.
