ARTWORK N° 50
Icarus
The design of the figure with the arms covering the face, the whole stripping of the flesh and the drama of the body, recall an immediate comparison with one of the famous bas-reliefs, the pink marble of the Duomo (generally ‘Male figure’), created in 1910 in Paris. But the extraordinary formal clarity appears to be dissolving on the meter of a celebrative drama of rhetoric diction.
